When I wake up in the morning what do I see?
This is definitely not my idea, it came from God. This makes me smile. If I could, my day would begin at 9:30 or perhaps 10:00 even.
On a perfect day school would start at 11 and the day would end at 7:00/PM. Everyone, go to bed by 9:00,Pm. For the most part!
I guess practice makes perfect and perfect never practiced here!
The Bible tells us to wake up early and spend time with God. Pray, listen and praise! If we practiced this, then our day would go smoothly.
“I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall . . . and my soul is downcast within me (Lam 3:19-20). Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness (Lam 3:22-23)
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him. Lamentations 3:25”
“The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.”

Do we do this? Most of us? No! Many of us, especially moms jump out of bed racing. Our day starts off running.
It is get up, wake the kids and let’s get going. If time allows get the kids breakfast done and get on the road. Honestly, many parents eat their children’s left over pop tarts, pancakes, toast and cereal.
If we want better days then we have to get better with God. He is “our blessed assurance” all else takes second place.
Let us pray,
Father in Heaven thank you for being kind to us even when we are not kind to you. Forgive us for not spending quality time with you. We are removing you from our todo list to our top priority list. Strengthen and embolden us through this thing called life. Lord, I pray that we remain focused on you no matter how tough life gets. Thank you for walking beside us and going before us. We know your love for us never grows cold because you said you will never leave nor forsake us and you chastise those you love. Thank you father for everything that you have done, is doing and will do on our behalves. We praise and honor your holy name. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. 🙏🏽
