Our mission is to reach others for Christ! Help them draw closer to HIM!”

Without Hope the People Perish

bbornlife initially started with emails to various persons. Over the years God impressed upon the hearts of us, two young ladies, a passion to spread His word. We [Angela and Brenda] first met on a college campus in Texas. Ladies from two vastly different backgrounds, American and West Indian, who bonded quite well.  Since college, we traveled different paths but remained loyal to our friendship.  We pray together once a day at least five days a week and have done so for over two years. This was clearly orchestrated by God himself.

He wanted us to reach others, but the question was how?

This meant walking by faith, eyes to see but nowhere to go! We were moving solely through His vision for us!

Over time Brenda sent out written emails entitled the Hand of God to friends and families to inspire them to seek God… Later He birthed the bbornlife site, which took some time to come into.  On the other hand, Angela had an inspiration to do more but never had the opportunity to do so due to her involvement in prison ministries and family obligations. This was until God enabled them to discuss some issues which led them to begin collaboration to accomplish this task. Praying consistently for direction, God ordered their steps which led them here.  The Holy Spirit pressed upon a prayer leader who introduced them to a website builder, Sister Syretta at http://fixmyresumeandsite.com to help them. Sister Syretta built this site with a small vision!

What you see today is what small people led by faith, totally dependent on a BIG GOD, can do to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ!

How did We Meet

Beginnings

Angela and Brenda met on a college campus in Cedar Hill, Texas. Ladies from quite different backgrounds.  Angela a sophomore, born in the U.S., Brenda, a freshman in the Caribbean. After graduating they remained friends.

These young ladies led normal lives, got married, divorced, children etc... Brenda relocated to Connecticut and Angela, Texas. Despite all the ups and downs that life presented they kept in touch.

Angela later was involved in prison ministries while Brenda was trying to find her way. Still out there and doing separate lives they were called to reach others with many reservations. The biggest questions remained. How? Why Me? Perplexed!  Where was this coming from? This was not accepted! Unsure! Despite their doubts, their mustard seed faith crept, and they remained seeking in prayer. They were unaware that God was working in the process.

Angela and her mother led a small prayer group and Brenda inquired; so, Angela invited her and a cousin to join. This prayer group has been praying weekly since that time.

One day after prayer while sharing some experiences they discovered they had some common desires, and were dealing with some of the same issues.  God birthed something in them that they believed would peak other people’s interest and would cause them to want to know more of Christ. The Jesus call deepened!

Meanwhile, Brenda was sharing some of her experiences with some friends and family members via emails, called “The Hand of God”.  Something God bred out of frustration.

These ladies were given a little at a time. Their prayer was “Lord, if this is something you want done make a way!”, open doors that needs to be opened and close doors that needs to be shut. They were “Scared” thinking they were trying to move ahead of God and “fearful” that they were not moving fast enough. They needed balance so they stayed in prayer! They had no money saved to do this! They believed God would follow through but were unsure of how when and where. The thought of borrowing came to mind, but God said no, I will provide! No money, how?!  Miracles came down from heaven because their faith was being exercised. Proverbs 10:22 (CEV) states “When the Lord blesses you with riches, you have nothing to regret.” He blessed!

It feels great to know the Holy Spirit can guide them in ways unknown to them and make all things work together for their good while fulfilling His Purpose!

Brenda Byron

Hi, I am Brenda Byron, born on the island of St. Lucia and raised, on St . Croix. U.S.V.I. My mother was strict! We were project kids and we had a whole lot of fun in the neighborhood. Summers were the best! Kickball and baseball in the street! After high school My mother sent me off to college in Cedar Hill, TX. Several years later, I relocated to Connecticut, driving! But Now, I hate driving. I do, however, love to cook but enjoy other people’s food more! The most important thing to me is standing in the gap for others and second is Laughing. It is food for the soul so I love to laugh, always! I love the beach but I dislike being hot. Makes no sense right? I like the snow but certainly don’t like it when it turns to ice. It is fascinating to me to watch my child grow up, from puny to long-legged little lady! But anyway, I enjoy reading, walking and writing. I wanted to be an attorney but God had me do a 180 by writing for His purpose. Now, writing is fascinating to me. I had plans but God had better. Trust Him! I love decorating and yes traveling but turbulence is not a fav of mine. I am determined to share what I learn with you and I pray that it touches your heart in one way or another. I thank God for this opportunity and for using me here to reach you. I pray you are blessed, for eternity!

Angela Levy Parker

Hi, I am Angela Parker, known as “Angie”. I was born and raised in Fort Riley, Kansas. My dad was a military man so we traveled quite a bit. We lived in Okinawa, Japan interesting right?! But of course I don’t remember, too young to recall. Lol. Our family spent summers with our grandparents in Lake Charles, Louisiana which was very exciting! We went crabbing and fishing and eating those creole dishes! I love fishing to this day even though I don’t get to do it much. I love being a mother to my only child and pray to God daily for guidance in raising her. She is growing up to be a lovely young lady. Since I enjoyed traveling so much as a teen with my parents I wanted her to enjoy some of the same experiences so she’s my traveling buddy. We love the beach and excursions.
My mother, Marjorie Levy a devoted Evangelist and Elder and my late grandmother “Chalk” both helped in developing and shaping me into whom I am today. This in part paved the way to my involvement in prison ministry and serving others in different capacities. I have filled many shoes: volunteering, meals on wheels, the Salvation Army, and Angel Tree and I also enjoy mentoring youths. I have a deep passion for witnessing for Christ. Another is decorating homes and for parties too. In my spare time I enjoy shopping, listening to books and music. One of my hearts language is serving others and helping them realize who God calls them to be! I pray that God reaches you wherever you need Him most. God bless!
